Zeichen Press for Room & Board

I recently stopped in the studio of Zeichen Press and met the sassy, snarky Minneapolis ladies behind the popular, sarcastic greeting-card line (if you ask me they were doing Someecards before Someecards was a glimmer in the internet's eye). They are as sassy as you'd imagine, tons of fun, and talented to boot.

Here's a little snapshot behind the scenes:

And here's the final product, which just went live on the Room & Board website today!

I'm completely mad about letterpress, both for utility and art. Fran and Jen use way-old letterpress machines, set the antique type by hand, and print on thick, creamy cotton paper. Can't you just see this in a kid's room, a home office, or your best friend's classroom? Me too.

Congratulations, Ladies Shea!
