Honey For Your Honey

The Frenatae Honey Sale is being held this week on December 5, 6, and 7, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the University of Minnesota at the Natural Resources Library (Hodson Hall) and at the St. Paul Student Center.

Frenatae is the graduate student organization of the University of Minnesota Department of Entomology. Their annual honey sale has become a tradition for many University of Minnesota students and staff, but it’s open to the public as well.

Their honey is a bass-clover mix, and is made right at the University of Minnesota. It contains no additional preservatives, colors, or sweeteners—it’s just pure Minnesota honey.

Items for sale this year include:

  • 12 oz. honey bears
  • 5 lb. honey jugs
  • Various hand-dipped beeswax candles
  • Cochineal hand-dyed scarves
  • Insect illustration calendars & notecards
