FrozBroz Pint Sale This Weekend

FrozBroz is going public this weekend. That’s right, the ice cream-making duo known for their zany flavors and random Facebook ice cream giveaways will selling pints of ice cream this weekend at their new commercial kitchen space at CityFoodStudio.

As previously reported, Ben Solberg and Erik Powers’ friendship took root in Eau Claire, Wisc. There, they developed similar interests in Do-It-Yourself projects, indie rock, and good food. Years ago, they both moved to Minneapolis, where the duo started concocting scratch-made, small batches of ice cream in their home kitchens using carefully selected ingredients—many from small, local producers.

Today, Solberg and Powers are known as FrozBroz. More than 100 flavors, one kickstarter fundraiser, and more than 100 facebook giveaways later, FrozBroz is making and selling ice cream in their new commercial kitchen where they just celebrated their first week of production. The rich textures these ice cream Willy Wonkas achieve by making their own ice cream bases, and the unique flavors they create through countless experiments in the kitchen, make their ice cream swoon-worthy.

This Saturday, Jan. 18, they’ll be selling several flavors at their kitchen space from 1-4 p.m. Flavors include their decadent 3X Chocolate, Fennel Pollen, Brown Butter Cornbread, and Rosemary Lemon Bar. My suggestion? Go for the Brown Butter Cornbread—FrozBroz’s rich and savory brown butter ice cream base is the best I’ve ever had. You’ll find FrozBroz at CityFoodStudio at 3722 Chicago Ave South, Minneapolis.
