It might be a challenging time for the housing market, but it’s the best time for top-notch real estate agents to show their worth.
“Now, more than ever, qualified real estate agents are needed,” says Marshall Saunders of Re/max Results. “Buyers and sellers are frustrated. I regularly see transactions that would fall apart if an experienced Re/max Results agent wasn’t involved.”
Marshall, a real estate agent with 15 years of experience at Re/max Results, recently created a partnership with John Collopy as a co-owner of the local real estate company. John was Marshall’s father’s partner for 24 years until this fall, when Bill Saunders passed away. Marshall purchased his dad’s half of the company, and he and John quickly found out that they worked great together.
“We complement each other and play off each other’s strengths, and our goals and strategies are very much in line,” Marshall says.
With 486 real estate agents in 12 offices throughout the metro area, one of their goals was to take an active stance during this volatile market and invest in the agents.
“Our philosophy is, ‘What can we do to help the agents become more efficient and successful?’” John Collopy says. “We support them, give them the necessary services and tools they need to succeed, and make things easier so that they can best take care of their customers—the buyers and sellers.”
Part of helping the agents was developing a powerful new website, www.results.net, opening a new high-tech office in Woodbury, and adding new phone systems, computers, and presentation equipment in the conference rooms.
And while advanced technology helps the agents work smarter, it is old-fashioned customer service that sets them apart from the competition.
“Anyone can look up information on the Internet,” Marshall says. “Our agents go the extra mile—they know more about the neighborhoods, more about the market, and more about the situations that can arise. They make the process as seamless as possible and are zealous advocates for their clients’ best interests.”
