Contrarian ecologist Jon Foley is sick of talking about climate change. Saving America, he says, starts with saving energy.

He was booed at the Aspen Environment Forum a couple years ago. He thinks feel-good environmentalism is a joke. He doesn’t give a dinosaur’s behind whether or not everyone eats organic food. All Jon Foley, the head of the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota, wants is for people to start being more energy efficient. Period.
