The Minnetonka Center for the Arts celebrates six decades of providing visual arts, education, and outreach programs

60 Years Strong

Event: The Minnetonka Center for the Arts 60th Anniversary Celebration was held Saturday, October 6, at the center.

Cause: More than $130,000 was raised in support of the center’s art education, exhibition, and outreach programs. The center currently serves 20,000 individuals annually and works with close to 60 outreach partners around the state.

Going Once, Going Twice: The highest bid of the live auction was $5,000 for a fresco portrait by Mark Balma. In addition to the auction, which included such items as an Edward S. Curtis photo print and sculpture by Heidi Hoy, guests could buy “mystery bags” filled with goodies from the likes of Minnetonka Moccasin and Graham Jewelers for $40.

Dine and Dance: D’Amico catered the event and The Days Between provided live music.
