| Description |
Chefs for Change is held approximately once a month in People Serving People's industrial kitchen. It is an intimate setting of 30-40 guests interested in a "chef’s table" experience followed by a five-course meal with wine pairings. It is a unique experience to share with friends or acquaintances, and an opportunity for restaurants to gain unique recognition and exposure. Chefs provide all of the food with wine pairings and recipes for guests to take home. Guests are to experience the unique flavor of the particular restaurant, as well as establish rapport with the chef and servers. On the Mississippi River, just minutes from downtown in historic Northeast Minneapolis, The Sample Room is serving up small plates. The Sample Room offers contemporary American haute dishes like gravlax, roasted asparagus, and baked goat cheese, while balancing American diner classics done from scratch--meatloaf, roast turkey, homemade bratwurst. New chef Peter Maccaroni adds a new spin to the old classics. All proceeds will go to People Serving People, the largest and most comprehensive family-focused shelter in Minnesota. |
