For nearly two decades, Kailen Rosenberg has played matchmaker to local singles and Hollywood celebrities by teaching them to love themselves. Rosenberg recently opened Love and Life Architects in downtown Wayzata, where services also include life coaching and marriage counseling. Here, a few things that make her heart skip a beat.

Inspiration: Seeing growth, transformation and happiness occur in people. Quality in a partner: Dedication. Romantic gesture: When my husband grabs my hand and squeezes it three times, it’s family code for “I love you.” Perfect date: Dinner at St. Paul Grill, a walk through the holiday lights in downtown St. Paul and parking at the spot where we first met. Flowers: A fresh bouquet of wildflowers. Aphrodisiac: Dark chocolate and slow-dancing to Barry White. Way to escape: A bubble bath with candles and great music. Winter retreat: Sundara Spa with my husband; Kalahari Resort with the kids. Cities: New York, Paris and London. Boutique: Guild at Excelsior and Grand. Handbags: Prada, Chanel and Miu Miu. Skincare brands: SkinCeuticals and Caudalie. Salon: Extrados. Gift received: My sons. Travel necessity: A great skin cream and Evian facial mist when I fly. Way to spend Saturday night: Hanging out as a family, playing games and watching Saturday Night Live.
