Art in Action

Local and national artists auction their work to raise money for Free Arts Minnesota

Art in Action

Event: Art Incognito, held November 18 at the Edward Lentsch Studio in Minneapolis

Cause: Free Arts Minnesota, a program that serves abused children by offering them a chance to communicate and express themselves in positive ways through art. The event raised more than $37,000.

Going Once, Going Twice: The 150 attendees bid on art featuring work from such artists as Alec Soth, Mark Ulriksen, and Simone Lueck. The highest bid went to a wire sculpture by Julia Ferguson.

Master Mixer: Mixologist David Mahoney of Artful Living created a signature cocktail for the evening called the Mumbai Mule: an Indian-inspired concoction of vodka, lime, and ginger.
