It’s enough to make any art-lover giddy with anticipation—not one, not two, but three quality art fairs—the Uptown Art Fair, Loring Park Art Festival, and Powderhorn Art Fair—taking place in Minneapolis during the first weekend of August. All three fairs boast talented artists, amazing original artwork, thirst-quenching drinks, savory food, musical performances, and fun children’s activities.
Art lovers can see all three fairs without worrying about parking or traffic by hopping on a free, air-conditioned Target Art Hop bus on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3 at any of the art fairs or at the Lake Street/Midtown light rail station. Service begins each day at 10 a.m. Buses leave from each fair and the Lake Street/Midtown light rail station approximately every 20 minutes. Service operates until 6 p.m. Saturday and until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Fair-goers can also park at one of the more than 2,000 free park and ride spaces along the Hiawatha Line (park at Fort Snelling or 28th Avenue stations) and exit at the Lake Street/Midtown Station. The Target Art Hop bus stop is only steps away.
