Green Tie Affair

Who, What, Where: Green Tie Affair for The Nature Conservancy, Metropolitan Ballroom, April 28.

Purpose: To raise funds for the preservation of the diversity of plants, animals, and natural communities by protecting the land and water they need to survive.

See and be Seen: Rock star conservationist and keynote speaker Dr. M.A. Sanjayan, who has appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and the Today Show.

Song and Dance: The Ronea Quarter provided entertainment for the evening.

Success Story: Donations from ticket sales and the paperless auction, which included trips that featured sea kayaking to monitor turtle populations and black-footed ferret spotting, netted more than $100,000 for The Nature Conservancy.
