Fashion designer: KJurek Couture; kjurekcouture.net for retail locations

Kimberly Jurek designs clothing that women want to wear. Her clean and simple fashions reveal Jurek’s bohemian style and global influences, which she freely shares here.

Design inspiration: Vintage clothing, draping, my travels. Color scheme: Every shade of green. Flower: Wild flowers. Decorating style: Inspired by our travels and our budget (i.e., Ikea). Trend: The bohemian girly stuff, always. Accessory: My Rise Up feather earrings. Handbag: It changes often, but currently a suede fringe bag that I found at Buffalo Exchange for $25. Skincare product: Aveeno moisturizer (nothing too fancy). Fragrance: Dolce & Gabbana’s The One. City for shopping: I love Buenos Aires for fashion. The women really know how to dress well—chic but not over-done. Local boutique: Cliché, Drama, Gallery 360, and Karma. Local restaurant: Azia or Fuji Ya for sushi, and Duplex or Al Vento for a sweet date. Guilty pleasure: Red wine with dinner. Playlist: I’m really into Fleet Foxes, and anything in Spanish so I can keep learning. Book: Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk to Freedom. I am a romantic so I like historical fiction. Summer vacation: The past few years I’ve been going to Burning Man, a festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. Travel necessity: Nothing! I usually pack the morning of—at like 3 or 4 a.m.—and leave with no sleep.
