Let’s be honest: Women’s health needs are different from those of men. Symptoms of heart disease in female patients, for example, don’t always match those in males—and conditions such as pregnancy and menopause are unique to women. Physicians who are attuned to the particular needs of female patients are likely to give better care, and better care means better health for women and their families. That’s why we asked more than 5,500 Twin Cities doctors to name the physicians they’d recommend to their wives, daughters, and female family members and friends to see. Here, 258 metro-area physicians who got the most votes in 25 categories.
