How do you take the measure of a medical doctor? It’s not easy. Board scores, bedside manner, cost of care, sense of caring—all these yardsticks provide only part of the picture. That’s why we asked the people who do the job daily—doctors—who they believe measures up when it comes to excellent care for women. We asked them to name the doctors they’d recommend to their wives, partners, sisters, and daughters—the women who were most important to them. Now, the results are in, the votes are tallied. Here are the doctors who stand head and shoulders above the crowed, as chosen by their peers: Minnesota Monthly’s 2010 Best Doctors for Women.
