Fashion Night at MIA

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts’ Fashion Night benefits local teens in filmmaking

Fashion Night at MIA

Event: Friends of the Institute hosted a vintage couture fashion show and cocktail party on Thursday, March 7, at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

Cause: About 134 people attended the fashion show to benefit a new filmmaking project in the African galleries at MIA, which is designed to reach underserved Minneapolis youth by creating a story through film and art.

Who’s Who: The night’s local philanthropists and fashion-forward attendees included Myron Johnson, Blythe Brenden, Kathy Lenzmeier, Carolyn Dahl, and the director and president of MIA, Kaywin Feldman.

Local Fashionistas: The show, “Dress Rehearsal,” presented vintage couture fashion, styles by local designer Emma Berg from her Fall/Winter 2013 collection, and jewelry by Stephanie Lake.
