"Home" at Altered Esthetics

More than 50 artists tackle the concept that means something different to everyone

Shuji Usui's "My Home"

Ask 10 people what the word "home" means to them, and you’re sure to get 10 different answers. Which is precisely what northeast Minneapolis’s Altered Esthetics art gallery banked on when they commissioned more than 50 artists to present their interpretations of the word in the current exhibit, “Home.” Now in its last three days, “Home” includes paintings, videos, photographs, sketches, and more—a collection of artists’ reactions to immigration, homelessness, and what home means to them.
