Sea of Teal

Guests decked out in the cool hue to raise money to combat ovarian cancer.

Event: The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s Mid Summer Night’s Gala was held Sunday, July 21, at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville.

Cause: The gala and accompanying golf tournament raised more than $150,000 for Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, the state’s leading organization in ovarian-cancer research, education, and resources. Proceeds from the gala fund ovarian-cancer research in Minnesota. Guests could contribute to the “MOCA Dream Tree” by sharing hopes and dreams for the future of ovarian cancer.

Color Guard: In addition to guests dressing in teal, the color also appeared in the featured drink of the evening: the tealtini.

Going Once, Going Twice:  The highest bid of the night went for a getaway package for two to the winner’s destination of choice. It sold for $5,000.
