For husband and wife Brian and Nikki Podgorski, food is love. The pair spends more time in their kitchen than they do out of it, experimenting with fresh flavors and innovative recipes. In 2019, they found a way to spread this passion beyond their kitchen, launching The Salsa Collaborative, a line of fresh homemade salsas. When the lockdown ensued the following year, a shortage of glass jars forced them to think outside of the box. They experimented with new concepts and flavors, and eventually added hot sauces to their repertoire. Unexpectedly met with great success, their new line of hot sauces helped to grow their reach even further. Today, The Salsa Collaborative finds itself in more than 20 locations across Minnesota, and has even gone national with retailer Sierra Trading Co., who has distributed their products across 20+ states. The pair describes their daily processes as hands-on, animated, and even a little comical; Always keeping the love behind the food alive.
