2011 Stone Arch Festival of the Arts

Thousands of art fans spent Father’s Day weekend with family and friends at the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts

Who, What, Where: The 17th annual Stone Arch Festival of the Arts took over Minneapolis’s St. Anthony Main on June 18 and 19.

Local Talent: More than 500 artists applied to partake in this juried festival. Only 250 were chosen to participate, 100 of which were Minnesotans.

Song and Dance: Theatrical, musical, and dance performances kept the festival’s four stages busy. Throughout the span of the weekend, some 53 local bands performed.

See and be Seen: Elizabeth Reis from Twin Cities Live and Jason Nagel from Cities 97 joined the 60,000 other people who attended the festivities.

Building Blocks: A four-by-four-foot Lego creation of the Guthrie Theater, built by University of Minnesota architecture students, was featured in the Lego Creation Station.
