A Designer's World Revealed Lunch and Learn at IMS

Does it feel like just about every minute of every day is filled with work, kids, volunteer obligations, and extracurricular activities, and you just might self-combust if you add one more thing to the list?

Do you want to spice up your home but have no idea where to begin?

Are you ready to stop wishing and wondering and do something about it?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you could benefit from the services of an interior designer. And if you want to meet some talented local designers (who are willing to share tips and tricks of the trade), join the American Society of Interior Designers as they host a Design Week lunch-and-learn on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at International Market Square.

They can tell you what type of lighting will make or break a room, how to maximize your storage space, and how to improve traffic flow in a room without investing in a major remodel. They have connections in the design world (many furnishings, fabrics, and accessories are available to the trade only) and the professional training and experience to help you narrow down your options. Perhaps most importantly, they can save you time and money by ensuring that you get the most design for your dollar (while actually having fun—believe it or not!—in the process).

The designers also will reveal an “inside peek” at the hot new trends for 2013 during showroom tours. Don’t forget to stop in at Hirshfield’s Design Studio right across the street!

The panelists include:

Tickets are $25. The event will be held on Feb. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room 185, 275 Market St., Suite 196, Minneapolis. Purchase tickets at Hirshfield’s retail locations, Creative Lighting in St. Paul, or online.
