Rows of CDs, DVDs, computers, and phones—that’s probably what you think of when shopping Best Buy. But beginning this weekend, with the grand opening of a Richfield store, they’re introducing “a better way to shop.”
Front and center are their new kitchen and home theater experience centers, which go hand in hand with other customer service and convenience improvements like new education and demonstration tools, on-the-floor digital registers, and additional digital displays that update as often as the products do.
For kitchens, Pacific Kitchen & Homes will take up a new space, exhibiting a wide array of products at all the prices points, with specialized professionals ready to assist your kitchen building, remodeling, and design needs. Same goes for home entertaiment. With a showroom feel, you’ll be able to picture those products right where you need them in the new Magnolia Design Center also located within the main store.
With these changes comes a few added incentives to stop by the store this very weekend. The schedule, per their site:
Saturday, June 23
- Have your picture taken with Minnesota Timberwolves’ Ricky Rubio* starting at 11:30 a.m.
- Meet Chef Mike DeCamp of Minneapolis’ La Belle Vie starting at noon
Sunday, June 24
- Meet Chef Landon Schoenefeld of Minneapolis’ Haute Dish on Sunday, June 24 starting at 1 p.m.
- Meet Spider-Man*† starting at 2 p.m.
*For celebrity appearances, wristbands will be distributed two hours prior to the start time and are available on a first-come, first-served basis – maximum 1 picture per person.
