AIA Minnesota's 7th Annual Homes by Architects Tour

Whether you’ve attended this tour before or are checking it out for the first time, the 7th Annual Homes by Architects Tour September 20 and 21 promises something for everyone. The 16 new and remodeled homes featured on this year’s self-guided tour showcase a wide spectrum of project sizes and scopes, aesthetic styles, and locations.

The featured homes located around the Twin Cities were designed by registered architects who are members of the American Institute of Architects Minnesota (AIA Minnesota). The designing architects will be present in the homes during the tour and ready to speak with visitors.

If you’ve never worked with an architect before, this tour will demonstrate that the relationship between client and architect is essential to the success of any project, and is often the starting point of a lifelong partnership. The owners of home #14 have been working with architect Harvey Sherman, AIA, for years to update, improve, and modify space in their South Minneapolis Tudor-style home. Owner and client share an interest in using energy-efficient building materials and have been able to explore their passion together.
