WHAT: The 13th annual ALS Light the Journey Gala was held on October 30 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
THE CAUSE: The event raised an all-time revenue record of $292,000 for the MN/ND/SD chapter of the ALS Association to empower people living with ALS and their families, and to support research centers to find treatments and a cure for the disease.
TELLING STORIES: Cathy Wurzer, a Minnesota broadcast journalist, was honored for her continued support of the ALS Association, and Carl Nowlin, a former school teacher from St. Anthony Village, shared his story of living with ALS.
GOOD TIMES: The event hosted a silent auction with more than 100 items, and a dance with music by Big Toe and the Jam.
