At the American Red Cross, we work with heroes in our community every day. On Tuesday, May 4, at our third annual Heroes Breakfast, we will honor 12 people who have made the simple yet powerful decision to put their personal needs aside in order to help others.
This year, we are proud to welcome Target as our presenting sponsor. We’ve had the privilege of witnessing first hand Target’s commitment to the work of the Twin Cities Area Red Cross. Target exemplifies the mission of the Red Cross and in particular the Heroes Breakfast, going above and beyond to support their community.
Target’s generosity echoes throughout the communities where they are located as they give 5 percent of their income to support education, the arts, social services, and volunteerism.
Target is much more than a financial donor to the Red Cross. Through their multi-level relationship with the Red Cross, they train employees in CPR and first aid; provide a dedicated corps of volunteers; promote education for students through our Safety Mobile program featuring B. Safe Bear; and supply in-kind donations in times of extreme need.
We are grateful for their support and salute them as one of the heroes that make our lifesaving work possible.
