Experience one of the Midwest’s premier open studio events this weekend (Nov. 5-7) at the self-guided tour studio event Art Attack! at the Northrup King Building. Featuring artists working in nearly every medium, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, printmaking and letterpress printing, mixed media, clay, metal, glass, fine furniture, textiles, fiber arts, and jewelry, this year’s Art Attack! highlights the ephemeral beauty of ice as a constructive medium in a multi-artist gallery and gives visitors a chance to create their own poetry in quite possibly the world’s largest interactive magnetic poetry installation, a 750-square-foot room encased in galvanized steel.
Register to win $500 in Art Bucks at the event, and be sure to check out Studio 436, where Liz Plambeck of Universal Pants and Heidi Henderson of HKH Designs will showcase wearable art made of reclaimed fabric and imprinted with one-of-a-kind digital designs.
