Art Show at Macy's

Check out original artwork, photographs, gold records, and more at the 92 KQRS Classic Rock Art Show.

It’s not every day that Minneapolis’s skyway offers much more than shopping and food. But starting today, the downtown Macy’s has transformed a section of its retail space into something entirely out of the norm for a department store: classic-rock art and memorabilia. The sixth annual 92 KQRS Classic Rock Art Show features original artwork by musicians including Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and more. Also included are photographs of rock greats like Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen. Need more? How about posters, album artwork, gold records, and a chance to talk with Ron Campbell, an animator for the Beatles’ movie, Yellow Submarine, as well as a long list of classic TV cartoons (think Scooby Doo, The Flinstones, The Smurfs, and Winnie the Pooh). Everything will be for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Smile Network.
