Your dream for a great living space is lingering in the advice of expert consultants, kicked back among the fresh fall finishes of designer showrooms, and even idling on shelves of luxury parts at outlet prices. Better yet, your dream sale is real. And on its way.
Minnesota’s chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers will host its annual one-of-a-kind interior design sample sale from September 18-20 at International Market Square. The three-day sale will feature the newest high-end design as well as vintage finds in a space where Henredon, Ralph Lauren, J. Alexander, and Julia Knight will be household names (literally). As far as taste goes, the sample sale will hold up to its name by featuring everything from traditional wood designs to pioneer industrial trends.
ASID also returns with a spruced-up version of its designer outlet, featuring the season’s greatest grabs at gasp-worthy prices (everything is 50-80% off). “Consider it a treasure hunt,” says the sale’s committee chair Crista Bartholomew, who suggests preparing for the sale by noting the desired dimensions for new furniture, artwork, and rugs, and bringing along fabric swatches to color-coordinate with top sale products.
Have a project in mind for your home? Gather up your floor samples and take some photos. A pro designer will give your plans a second (or ten-thousandth) look at the complimentary consultations on Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m.
For the first time, the sales will include two silent auctions from within the showrooms. The designers will choose which of their comfortable creations to auction off—so get ready to nest in high style.
