Q. How do you determine that you’re on the same financial page when meeting with new clients?
A. It’s very important to think about how you want to get to that finished room. I’ve always compared this question to automobiles. Do you want to ride in a Jaguar, a Chevy, or is something in-between more your style? They all ride nicely, but it’s the little things that make a difference.
In the world of design, a look can be achieved with different levels of detail, and it’s important to ask yourself, “How important are the little things?”
Beautiful hand rubbed finishes, natural fiber fabrics, and exquisite wool rugs and carpets that patina with time come at a price. Sometimes a client wants a project to stand the test of time; others live for the here-and-now! It all depends on how you want to ride.
