Event: Opportunity Partners’ “Fabulous ’50s” Benefit Gala was held Friday, April 27, at the Hotel Sofitel Minneapolis.
Cause: More than $100,000 was donated by 350 guests and will go toward nonprofit organization Opportunity Partners’ mission: to help people with disabilities live, learn, and work more independently.
Twist and Shout: In honor of the 1950s theme, cover band The Rockin’ Hollywoods got guests bopping and boogie-woogie-ing with tunes from the era.
Going Once, Going Twice: The highest bid of the night was for $5,000 and went toward 14 suite tickets to see the Minnesota Twins take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Target Field.
Flashback Fun: In addition to the groovy tunes, games and food were also tailored to fit the 1950s theme.
