Call for Submissions: the 2014 AIA Minnesota Awards

One of the best parts about Minnesota is the plethora of creatives who live here. The Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Architects is filled with these talented visionaries and we want to recognize the best of the best at the 2014 AIA Minnesota awards.

Each year, Midwest Home partners with AIA Minnesota to focus on both the established and up-and-coming single-family residential architects who demonstrate ingenuity and distinction in his or her field. We are calling on all architects to submit nominations no later than February 5, 2014 to be eligible for the Architect of Distinction award and the Emerging Talent of the Year award.

The Architect of Distinction Award honors a professional who has been licensed for more than 15 years, while the Emerging Talent of the Year Award spotlights an architect who has been licensed for less than 10 years. The winners also are highlighted in an upcoming issue of Midwest Home.

Last year, Rosemary McMonigal of McMonigal Architects won the Architect of Distinction award and Ben Awes of CityDeskStudio won the Emerging Talent of the Year award.
