In its 26th year, the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts’ Design and Antiques Fair will showcase high-quality furniture, accessories, silver, glassware, objects d’art, and design from the 17th to the mid-20th century. Join fellow design and antique enthusiasts in the search for such items as a traditional English grandfather clock or a figured maple weathervane. Fair booths include American Spirit Antiques, Asiantiques, J. Austin Jeweler, Dalton’s American Decorative Arts, Elliot & Elliot Art & Antiques, and Master Framer’s Inc., etc.
MIA’s Design and Antique Fair will be held at the St. Paul Armory this upcoming Friday (24th) and Saturday (25th) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, September 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dealer talks will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Proceeds will benefit the Decorative Arts, Textiles, and Sculpture Department at the MIA. For directions as well as a full listing of the booths at the fair, see artsmia.org/design-fair-2010.
Tickets are $10; $5 for members. Purchase your tickets at the door or reserve them online.
