Décor is a major piece of the wedding planning puzzle, but it is often difficult for couples to envision the overall look of their big day. Tying various elements together is a great way to make a statement, but where does a couple begin? Start at The Wedding Fair’s “Ceremony Experience and Reception Rotunda,†featuring amazing décor concepts and the latest and most detailed wedding decorating ideas.

A recent Wedding Fair-themed “Autumnal Weddings†gave couples an idea of how to make a lasting impact through décor.

The Wedding Guys® created a 150-foot-long entrance staged as a ceremony and reception setting, and as couples entered the show, they were immersed in a mystical setting with 30 gigantic (30-foot-tall) birch trees awash in red, orange, and amber lighting. Midway Party Rental provided Mahogany chivari chairs that flanked each side of the entrance, while overhead they installed a 60-foot canopy dripping with crystal chandeliers and ivory chiffon. Down the center, a chocolate brown carpet runner allowed future brides to feel like they were walking down the aisle. An altar covered with a dramatic large-scale floral arrangement created by Indulge and Bloom, along with antique lanterns, obscured the surprise of the next section — a cocktail lounge designed as a “Chocolate Ultra Lounge.†In the center of this staged “cocktail reception†setting, a 25-foot golden birch tree ascended through a round table. A chocolate fountain and display of apothecary jars filled with chocolates sat on the table. Gold satin linens, brown velvet curtains, and a mock bar further provided inspiration to couples planning their own wedding celebration.

The theme continued into the “Reception Rotunda,†a reception display complete with an orchestra and ballroom dancers. Here, gold chivari chairs added punch to a palette of chocolate brown and copper linens, courtesy of Midway Party Rental. Richfield Flowers and Events created two enormous impact floral pieces in the middle of the area. These six-foot-tall urns–with another six feet of floral–added instant drama. Square guest tables were set with details including gold chargers, china, crystal, flatware, menus, and place cards. Atop each place setting sat a gilded pear tied with a card reading “The Perfect Pair,†along with menus crafted by A Milestone Paper Co.

The Reception Rotunda is a dramatic centerpiece to the show and an engaging way for guests to view and experience an entire décor concept.

The Wedding Fair features a distinctive theme for each event and on March 16, The Wedding Guys will present ideas for “Fantasy Weddings.†Get ready to be inspired!
