There are baskets and then there are Keith and Valerie Raivo’s baskets made with soaked and woven hardwoods and finished with copper rivets and leather hinges. Keith and Valerie, of Brook Park, Minnesota, have been weaving baskets for 23 years. Their work is available at high-end craft galleries such as Sawbridge Studios in Chicago and—of course—Etsy. This spectacular chest was woven with red oak, red elm, and cherry and features a Danish oil finish.
