Etsy Love from MN: Raw Steel Gorgeousness

Pete Watkins and his wife, Tanya, run a picturesque corn and soybean farm in Butterfield, Minnesota, an hour’s drive west from Mankato. And they also happen to own a metalshop where Pete—who grew up repairing farm implements with his dad—makes absolutely stunning raw steel candleholders, candelabras, pot racks, and pet dishes. The Watkins like to sketch out ideas over coffee on Saturday mornings and then Pete, ever the workacholic, is out in the shop with his anvil, wire feed welder, iron saw, press, and plasma cutter making it all real. The best pieces are rustic and primitive, but also clean and modern—like this black iron rack with handmade rivets. Go shopping here.
