Not enough suspense built into Election Week for you? Us either. That’s why we’re supporting another competition this Thursday night.
You’ve certainly heard the phrase “Can’t take the heat? Then get out of the kitchen.” But luckily, we know people who run right into a challenge headfirst, especially when it involves the dining room. Those people would be the talented crew putting on this Thursday night’s event, The Duel of The Design. Boiled down to its simplest elements, it’s two designers, two florists, two chefs, and two hours. Intrigued?
The designers will work with the florists and chefs to bring to life the most amazing dinner party you’d love to attend. Within two hours, the teams must create amazing tabletop décor for eight guests—PLUS a five-course menu!
The competitors will be Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions Wedding and Event Coordination and Kari Warwick of The Bliss Life, plus florists from Fleurissima and Bachman’s, and chefs from Smack Shack and Taste Bud.
Let’s face it, as audience members, it’s as close to starring in our own reality TV show as it’s going to get. A $20 ticket (advance) or $25 ticket (door) will get you appetizers, desserts, and a cash bar, beginning at 5 p.m. The competition will run from 5:30 to 7:30. This is one fast-and-furious duel you do not want to miss!
