Tomorrow night from 5 to 8 p.m., the Design Within Reach location on Hennepin will be showing off two new pieces of furniture, and they’re throwing a Frank Lloyd Wright-themed party to celebrate. Mingle with the design crowd, browse some original Wright sketches of the McKinney house in Cloquet, and catch part of “Portrait of an Artist” a FLW bio-pic narrated by Wright’s granddaughter just two years before she died. Oh, and definitely check out the new furniture: a caramel leather-upholstered recliner and sofa duplicated from the Charles Greene House in Aurora, Illinois. Both are licensed products of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and have the collectible pricetags to prove it: $4,500 for the chair and $6,500 for the sofa.
