Friday Find: Closet Makeover Magic

Admission of the day: I covet closets.

Sure, it’s the goods inside, too, but the pure presentation of shoes, clothes, and accessories in a modern, roomy way can make even run-of-the-mill finds look and feel luxurious. And I love that.

Actually, I have a good-sized wall of closets, a la’ George Wade in Two Weeks Notice, but it’s the Carrie Bradshaw, Sex in the City, look that’s so appealing. It’s the glitz, and glamour. The lux space that allows you to see so much on display and have room to get primped—separate from the bedrooom.

It’s clothing color-coded. Outfits picked out in advance and waiting in sight (because I often need time before landing on the right combinations). It’s shoes on displayobviously—and little gadgets and dividers to help organization.

The great thing is that this is all actually possible, at least in some regard, with the help of a closet expert. And in the case of one winner, a lot of luck: Midwest Home and the Closet Factory are again partnering to award an “ugly closet makoever” via our Home Show. Just submit 100 words or less explaining why your closet is in rough shape and needs our help by visiting the Midwest Home Lounge at the 22nd Annual Midwest Home Show (November 16-18), or fill out our form online, and you’re entered to win.

Here’s a peek at last year’s transformation. It’s no million-dollar loft walk-in with chandeliers, but swoon-worthy just the same!
