Don’t you wish you could go back in time and party like Megan Draper does in Mad Men? Plenty of booze, good bites, groovy music, and lots of laughs. Well, this week you can! It’s that time of year again to bust out your go-go boots and head out to Docomomo US/MN’s 6th Annual Mod Mixer this Thursday, June 19 from 6-8 p.m.
For this year’s Mod Mixer, Docomomo US/MN is partnering with MidModMen, located in St. Paul right off the Raymond Avenue stop on the Green Line. MidModMen is a furniture store specializing in mid-century design, but spans other eras as well.
There will be bites from Foxy Falafel and beer on hand from Bang, Urban Growler, and Burning Brothers (gluten-free!).
For those not familiar with Docomomo US/MN, the non-profit aims to educate and get the community excited about the preservation of mid-century modern architecture. If you are interested in becoming a member of Docomomo US/MN, there will be opportunities to join at the mixer.
The event is free to the public, but it is highly recommended you RSVP on the organization’s Facebook event page or Eventbrite page so they can make sure they have enough snacks for all!
Grab a friend, grab the Green Line, and head on down to MidModMen and get your groove on!
