We admit to having some blinders on, but after hosting three consecutive weekends of luxurious home tours via our own annual event, we can finally look to other inspirational homes on the horizon—like those found on the American Institute of Architects‘ 5th annual Minnesota Homes by Architects Tour.
This tour will be here before we know it, held Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. The tour currently features 16 new and remodeled homes located throughout the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota, and western Wisconsin, all designed by registered architect members of the AIA MN.
Visitors to the AIA Homes By Architects Tour can meet the architect and learn firsthand about the design process. The homes will showcase the talents of local architects and how the diverse and collaborative visions of homeowners and architects can play out in home design. Each of the homes features a range of design styles and techniques.
Tickets will be available online in August for $15 in advance (until 4 p.m. on September 21), and eventually, during the event, at each home on the tour: $20 for a full ticket or $10 for an individual home.
While we are supporting The 2012 Homes By Architects Tour, so is Marvin, Warners’ Stellian, Streeter, Cates Fine Homes, Welch Forsman, RBC Tile & Stone, Heatmyfloors.com, and Southview Design.
