Event: The second-annual Emergency Foodshelf Network Hunger Bash was held on Friday, September 13, at the Metropolitan Club in Golden Valley.
Cause: The Emergency Foodshelf Network is a full-service food bank with more than 200 hunger-relief partners throughout the state, ensuring that high-quality, nutritious food is available for all. The event raised more than $75,000 for healthy food and fresh produce.
The Agenda: Guests played games, bid in live and silent auctions, and enjoyed food and drink provided by D’Amico, one of the event sponsors. Jason Weismann and the ‘Q’ provided entertainment, as did Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre.
Going Once, Going Twice: The highest bid of the night went to a $2,000 D’Amico gift card, which sold for nearly 150% of its value.
