The Phillips family brought its entrepreneurial spirit, so to speak, from a long way—Minsk, Russia. What began as a newsstand morphed into a distilling business following Prohibition. At the Phillips headquarters at St. Anthony Main, in a former stablehouse, the company’s hundred-year history is recounted in memorabilia and, in a small laboratory in the back, new liquors are still being invented.
