Oh, Grand Avenue. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
You were a tried-and-true hang-out destination in college, you were home to my favorite summer event—Grand Old Day— when I Iived in a nearby apartment, your restaurants became a regular meet-up spot for birthday/engagement/bachelorette party celebrations, you were where I bought my wedding gown, and you are one of my favorite shopping destinations when I want unique home decor (or gifts) from Bibelot, Pier 1 Imports, Pottery Barn, Cooks of Crocus Hill, or Traditions Classic Home Furnishings.
Grand Avenue, can you believe we’ve shared over 20 years of memories?! We have such a great relationship. I know we will be friends until I’m old and gray.
Now you, too, can celebrate your love of Grand Avenue tonight, from 5 to 9 p.m., as the Grand Avenue Business Association hosts a free Ladies Night Out event along 30 blocks of my favorite avenue ever (no offense to nearby Summit, but Grand will always be my No. 1).
Local Grand Ave businesses are offering exclusive sales and deals (and many are also offering treats!), and attendees have a chance to win gift cards from Grand Avenue businesses by visiting at least five of the participating businesses throughout the night—just be sure to pick up a punch card first. The grand prize is $575 in gift cards, with 24 runners-up receiving one $25 gift card. Basically, you’re being rewarded for visiting Grand Avenue and spending quality time with your favorite girls.
I think that’s a win-win for everyone.
