THE SCOOP Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thymes
Summertime is a perfect time for embracing a new, lighter scent, and I’m feeling especially inspired by herbaceous ones. Minneapolis–based Thymes must be in my head: the company has just released a new Garden Alchemy collection (check out the gorgeous, flowery packaging at left—a departure from their usual clean labeling). The collection, which includes bubble bath, salts, shower gel, body soufflé, linen mist, cologne, and a candle, come in three scents: the clean and green rosemary sage, the magnolia-violet tinged Wild Angelica, and the tart-sweet Lemon Geranium. $18-$50, available at thymes.com.

Post–handbags celebrate summer
You may know Post–handbags for their art-smart backgrounds, luxe materials, and support of causes—besides making everything domestically and locally, they often donate to deserving nonprofits and charities. Their summer collection is a combination of all those things: La Vie en Rose is inspired by Parisian style and graffiti art, making their screenprint-and-leather tote bags perfect farmer’s-market accessories, and the smaller leather clutches pair nicely with cocktail hour. $45–$175, postdash.com
Happy Birthday, MOA
The Mall of America started celebrating in January, but the revelry ramps up this month as its 20th birthday approaches on August 11. And, considering that the occupancy rate has grown from 70 percent upon opening to 96 percent today (in real numbers, the Mall has grown from 350 stores to 520!), MOA’s got something to celebrate. Especially exciting are the 20 days of giveaways—each worth $500 or more—plus a chance to win a $10,000 shopping spree. You can find flashback photos, sign-ups, and day-of festivity information on the website. mallofamerica.com
