Many people have risen to fame after their death: Emily Dickinson, Anne Frank, Vincent Van Gogh. But one guy has gone above and beyond getting the most recognition post-rigor mortis: the Golden King himself, Tutankhamun: AKA King Tut. Despite attempts by Pharaoh Ramses to erase Tut from the history books, once Howard Carter discovered his tomb in 1922, Tut’s been living the good life. (Well, at least his memory has.) Starting this weekend, Minnesotans will have a chance to get up close and personal with the Golden King’s artifacts, as well as learn more about the lives of Egyptian pharaohs in general, at the Science Museum’s latest exhibit, “Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs.”
