Three things I love about the Twin Cities:
1. There’s nothing better than the change of seasons in Minnesota.
2.The restaurants. We have such a great mix of sophisticated fine dining and local cozy hangouts.
3. The shopping. I love the Mall of America. You can always find what you’re looking for, even if you don’t know what you want.
Favorite local restaurant:
Bellanotte in Minneapolis. If you want to spot a celebrity, or just feel like one, this is the place to be with its great Italian cuisine and sophisticated atmosphere. Plus, they serve dinner until midnight.
Favorite local hidden treasure that visitors shouldn’t miss:
The first secret is for the ladies. I have a unique style, so if you love to shop, check out Via’s Vintage in Minneapolis. You can find everything from Audrey Hepburn-style dresses to Art Deco jewelry. The second secret is for the guys: Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. This sprawling park consists of more than a historic carousel, pony rides, outdoor pool and lake–it also has a gorgeous golf course.
My best celebrity interview:
I’ve interviewed many Hollywood stars, but Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson really stood out. I had the chance to interview her before both her Golden Globe and Oscar wins, and she was so appreciative and down to earth.
Someday I hope to interview:
Barbara Walters. She is a broadcasting legend whose interviewing skills have crisscrossed the globe from controversial political figures to the biggest stars in the world, with her in-depth and intriguing style that gives us a closer insight into these unique individuals. Watch out Barbara, here I come!
