What a difference a decade makes. Ten years ago, the locavore focus of south Minneapolis-newcomer Low Brow would have been news worth trumpeting from the rooftops: organic devilled eggs! Local Eichten’s bison in the chili! Grass-fed burgers! Today, however, so many restaurants are serving great locavore grub that Low Brow feels like little more than a nice neighborhood diner. And it is without a doubt a nice neighborhood diner, with good fries, pints of quality local microbrews, an Etch a Sketch presented helpfully to every child, and real Minnesota maple syrup on the pancakes—nice! Nice. So if you live in south Minneapolis in the happy district neighborhoods east of Lake Harriet, your life just got a little nicer.
