Easily the Twin Cities’ coolest outdoor setting for music, the Mill City Museum has just finalized its 2010 summer line-up of bands in the courtyard ruins. If you haven’t been there in a while, there’s now a $5 charge (which gets you into the museum, too, natch, at a fraction of the cost), a small price to pay for a little more elbow room. Here’s the list, which may already be posted at the museum’s events website by the time you read this.
July 8 Koerner & Glover (not-to-be-missed blues-folk legends, contemporaries of Dylan’s, then and now)
July 15 Aby Wolf (cutie-pie folk-popper, City Pages‘ vocalist of the year)
July 22 Joey Ryan and the Inks (up-and-coming power-pop boys)
July 29 Salsa del Soul (the name kind of says it all)
August 5 The 757’s (rock ‘n’ roll all the way)
August 12 Idle Hands (Brit rock ‘n’ roll all the way)
August 19 Black Blondie (where alternative-rock meets hip-hop and R&B, i.e. the intersection of cool and cooler)
