Lou Bellamy, Founder & Artistic Director of the Penumbra Theatre

Bellamy, a resident of Long Lake, founded the Penumbra Theatre as a forum for African-American voices in 1976. In addition to serving the theater as artistic director, Bellamy is an associate professor in the University of Minnesota’s Department of Theatre and Dance.
