Everyone is getting involved with the 2008 Uptown Art Fair, including the United States Postal Service. The USPS is an important sponsor this year as the “Approved Art Fair Shipper” and will have a booth set up on Hennepin Avenue right next door to the 2008 Commemorative Print Artist, Marni Tobin. Prints of the commemorative artwork will be for sale at the FASTFRAME booth located next door to the USPS. Also available for sale will be prints of the specially created artwork entitled “13 Flowers” which honors the victims of the I-35W bridge collapse. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the I-35W Bridge Foundation.
At the USPS booth, check out the exclusive Uptown Art Fair postage stamp created from this year’s commemorative print. The postal service rarely creates personalized stamps, so this piece is quite an honor for the Uptown Art Fair.
The United States Postal Service will also be providing on-site shipping service for artists, vendors, and customers of the Art Fair. There will be free eco-friendly Express Mail and Priority Mail supplies with flat rate boxes—“If it fits, it ships.” Delivery confirmation and insurance will also be available along with pack and ship assistance. With this service, fair-goers can carry less, buy more, and have no more “after fair” deliveries.
