Admit it. You’ve been wondering what Josh Hartnett’s been up to lately. Well, this month the South High alum and Hollywood dreamboat will most likely be hanging around St. Anthony Main, where his new indie film Stuck Between Two Stations will debut as part of this year’s Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival.
The festival, which presents over 170 films from some 50 countries at the five-screen St. Anthony Main Theater, kicks off tonight and features a new Festival Central Pavilion, where for a mere $25 fans can mix and mingle with visiting filmmakers throughout the festival and nosh on treats from Chow Girls catering.
Tonight’s film is Page One: A Year Inside the New York Times (April 14, 7:30 p.m.), Andrew Rossi’s yearlong documentary about the Gray Lady’s financially ruinous 2009. As for all you Hartnett fans, you’ll have to wait for closing night. Stuck is the Festival’s official “Closing Night Film” (May 5, 7:30 p.m.). Centered around a romantically fraught reunion for two former high-school classmates, the film is first-time director Brady Kiernan’s ode to Minneapolis, boasting breathtaking shots of the skyline and an all-local cast.
